I hate when you look at people and you think, "wow, they must be such an awesome person," and then you meet them, and it turns out they're just as stupid as anybody else.

I like people better before I meet them, sometimes.

So I'm getting really into twee pop. It is genre of music that is like "sweet" indie rock. It is so cute. I love love love love it.

If only the twee band Heavenly did not insist on sharing that name with a French death metal band. Woe is me.

I've decided to call my next band, "Various Artists." Even though I am already in five other non-existant bands, this one is called Various Artists.

Broken Social Scene were awesome. Dinosaur Jr. was awesome. Radio 4 was alright. The lead singer (?) of the other band kept licking her guitar, so they were clearly not half as awesome as Broken Social Scene.

Right now, I feel like I'm going to die from standing up to long and screaming and trying to fight off some weirdo who kept slamming into me, but ooooh it was incredible. Really really really really great. So great I can hardly us descriptive adjetives to describe it.

SIREN SATURDAY!

I am THROOUGGHHHH with xanga.

Yes, I'm aware I said I got a new one, and then I deleted it, because xanga is the most annoying piece of crap to ever hit this universe. I'm sorry, but it is. I'm also sorry if I annoyed anyone by saying HEY LOOK I HAVE A NEW XANGA and then deleting it. So you can all whine or just read my el jay. Even that's not so interesting. I have a real journal, but honestly, no one reads that, because it's an actual journal rather than just an online thing where I pretend I'm cool (I'm not cool, I think Bowie's cool). Thank you for your time.

Yeah, so. Ignore me. I keep this to comment, but I have stalkers, so I don't know how long that'll last.

INCASE YOU DECIDED TO SKIP THAT: sorry to anyone i annoyed with the new xanga thing, i'm not using that because of random uninteresting stuffs. yeah, i didn't mean to irritate anyone.

Sorry kids, but I won't be updating this until September, possibly not even then. No reason for it, I've just completely lost interest in an open diary that I write cryptic entries in. I'll be keeping this screename only for purposes of co*mmenting and reading my friends' entries.

However, if you're really interested, I have an El Jay that I write in quite frequently. Everything is much more personalized, but it is a friends-only lj. If you have one and want to be added, leave me a message under the "friends only" post and I'll probably + you.

Do you know. I really don't have much to say in this anymore. I haven't for quite a while. And my profile picture creeps me out, but so did the last one. But ANYWAY, humor me and pretend you actually read this.

So, recent happenings, hmm? Well, I have Broken Social Scene tickets, which makes me incredibly happy, but no Decemberists tickets, thanks to the OC. My uniform makes me feel like a robotic clone of a cheap black-and-white photocopy who is made to follow a carefully planned routine that could break apart with the slightest disturbance. Oh, and, I have teachers who thinks I am a "specimen." Like it's that great to be an American. Maybe I'm just taking it for granted, but I don't know why everyone's so amazed about having an American in their school. I'm quite an anti-American American, so I hardly even count.

People say I am getting an accent. I sure hope not. And every day I have to listen to hip-hop synthesizer music that sounds like construction workers and german techno put into one giant swirly LSD trip. Or something. It literally sounds like that...yeah, I don't know what I'm talking about. I should probably get some sleep.

I'm really happy.

I shouldn't be, but I won't dwell on it. Everything is wonderfully uneventful. I don't even sound like myself anymore.

This is beautiful (but I didn't write it):

The speakers crackled and the music came through: Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. "Pretty as a midsummer's morn, they call her Dawn." Let the love of God come and get us if it wants us so bad. We know where we are going when all of this is done.
